ECONOMIST: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Bisnis is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and promoting integrity at every stage of the publication process. We follow the guidelines and principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and uphold the values of honesty, fairness, and responsibility in scholarly publishing.

The following are the publication ethics principles adopted by ECONOMIST:

  1. Code of Ethics for Authors: We encourage authors to adhere to the principles of honesty, present accurate research findings, and refrain from plagiarism. Authors are expected to clearly state their contributions to the submitted work.

  2. Code of Ethics for Editors: We ensure that the editorial process is conducted fairly, objectively, and professionally. Editors must not misuse their authority for personal or institutional interests.

  3. Code of Ethics for Reviewers: We select competent and objective reviewers to evaluate submitted manuscripts. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive comments and suggestions while maintaining the confidentiality of the materials they review.

  4. Plagiarism Prevention: We prohibit plagiarism in all its forms. Authors are required to provide appropriate references for any information or ideas derived from other sources.

  5. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: We encourage authors, editors, and reviewers to disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect the objectivity and integrity of the publication process.

  6. Compliance with Research Ethics Standards: We expect researchers to comply with applicable research ethics standards in their respective fields of study, including ethical approval, protection of research subjects, and the appropriate use of data.

  7. Protection of Intellectual Property Rights: We respect the copyrights and intellectual property rights of authors and encourage proper citation and acknowledgment of existing works.

ECONOMIST is committed to taking appropriate action in the event of violations of these publication ethics principles. Such actions may include rejection of a manuscript, retraction of a published article, or notification to the relevant institution.
